Pendleton High School has a new attendance program aimed at lowering the rate of unexcused absences.

PSD Superintendent Jon Peterson and Assistant Superintendent Tricia Baker discuss the Feb. 8 board meeting, including the board's approval of support for submitting a local option tax on the May election ballot.

Anyone interested in learning more about the Pendleton School District's Local Option Levy -- which will appear on the May 18 ballot -- can visit the District's web site.

Superintendent Jon Peterson and Director of Business Services Michelle Jones highlight the previous night's board meeting, including recognition of the boy's basketball team, the Rhythmic Mode state champion dance team, and AgriScience Teacher of the Year Marty Campbell (PHS). Crystal Apple Award winners also were recognized.

Asst. Superintendent Tricia Baker and Director of Business Services Michelle Jones talked about the previous night's board meeting. Regular board meetings will now be held at West Hills Intermediate School cafeteria at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of the month. The current board room is too restrictive, so the West Hills space will allow for more people.
