Approved Bond Projects

After careful review of a variety of reports and studies (which can be found on the Facts & Figures page), the Long-Range Facility Planning Committee provided the PSD Board of Education with a set of recommendations for it to consider as it prepares for the future of Pendleton schools. The Board then directed a Facility Advisory Panel to review these recommendations. Below are the recommendations the LRFPC made to the Board. The Board has directed the PSD to ask voters to consider a General Obligation Bond on the November 2013 ballot to fund these projects.*

Pendleton HS Fix roof. Energy-saving lighting & HVAC upgrades. Upgrade auditorium seating & stage lighting/sound system. Improve safety & security. Upgrade track/football area with ADA access, ADA bathrooms, improved lighting & improved seating. $5,000,000
Hawthorne Convert to Early Childhood Center. Improve safety & security. Improve energy efficiencies. Relocate District Office to allow for off-street parking & off-street bus loop & drop-off areas. $8,500,000
