Pendleton School Board Begins Search for New Superintendent
At a meeting on Monday, February 20, the Pendleton School District Board of Directors announced a vacancy for Superintendent and started the process to begin the search. The board will continue to use Greg McKenzie, an executive search consultant with Window to Leadership, LLC, to lead the search.
The search will begin immediately and is expected to take about two months. The board is hoping to announce the new Superintendent at the May board meeting.
“The Pendleton community, including its school district, is a vibrant place. The school board appreciates the service of current Superintendent Andy Kovach and wishes him well with his future plans. The board is prepared to lead our district successfully through this upcoming hiring process so we can continue the great work of our schools,” said Board Chair Debbie McBee.
Once the final candidates are selected, the School Board will provide an opportunity for the Pendleton community to meet them at a meet-and-greet later this spring.
