The Pendleton School District will host three community forums beginning Oct. 30 to allow the community to learn more about the condition of Pendleton’s school facilities through the findings of the District’s Long-Range Facility Planning Committee, as well as a potential construction bond.

Superintendent Jon Peterson, Assistant Superintendent Tricia Mooney, and Director of Business Services Michelle Jones will lead forum attendees through a presentation outlining the findings of the Long-Range Facility Planning Committee, a group of community members, District staff and Board members who reviewed facility and enrollment studies to provide facility recommendations to the school board.

The District would like to gather feedback from the community regarding these facility upgrade recommendations, and also solicit input regarding a potential construction bond to complete all or some of the work the LRFPC recommended.

The Community Forums will take place as follows:

• Tuesday, Oct. 30 @ 7 p.m. – Lincoln Primary School (107 NW 10th St.)
• Thursday, Nov. 15 @ 7 p.m. – Sunridge Middle School (700 SW Runnion Ave.)
• Saturday, Nov. 17 @ 10:30 a.m. – Pendleton High School Commons (1800 NW Carden   Ave.)

In addition, the community is being asked to complete a short survey regarding facilities planning. Participants can take the survey beginning Friday (Oct. 26) by clicking here.

Each community forum will last approximately one hour. Light refreshments will be provided.
