Pendleton School District

• For Students who reside in the Pendleton School District attendance area, but wish to attend an alternative school district.
• Must be renewed annually.

1. Student and Parent/Guardian completes an "Inter-District Mutual Agreement for Non-Resident Enrollment" form, available at the Pendleton School District Office or by clicking here.
2. Completed Form is turned in to the Superintendent's Office.
3. Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent either approves or denies the request.
4. Parents notified of decision by the School Board/Superintendent's Secretary.
5. If affirmed, the Pendleton School District will fax the "Transfer Request" to desired district's superintendent.
6. Desired district either approves or denies the request.
7. Original document with desired district's signature is returned to the Pendleton School District's Superintendent's Office for filing.

• For students who reside outside the Pendleton School District attendance area but wish to attend the Pendleton School District.
• In the case of elementary and middle school requests, out-of-district transfers will be placed at the school with the least capacity. Students may not request a desired school.
• Must be renewed annually.

1. Student and Parent/Guardian completes an "Inter-District Mutual Agreement for Non-Resident Enrollment" form, or similar form from his/her resident district.
2. The completed form with authorization is turned into the Pendleton School District's Superintendent's Office.
3. The Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent approves or denies the request. If approved, parents are notified of the placement.
4. If affirmed, the Pendleton School District will fax the "Transfer Request" to the resident district's superintendent.
5. Original document with Pendleton School District's signature is returned to the resident district's superintendent's office for filing.

• For students who wish to attend a school in an alternate attendance zone who reside in the Pendleton School District boundary.
• Must be renewed annuallay.

Parents/Guardians may apply to the transfer school no later than May 15 requesting to enroll for the next school year using the "In-District Student Transfer Request Form." This form is filled out and remains at his/her attendance area school (not the school he/she wants to transfer to).

A transfer meeting in August is held to consider inter-district transfer requests.

Parents are notified by the principal of the building in which they will be attending regarding the status of his/her transfer request prior to the start of school.

Parents are responsible for all transportation of the transfer request is approved.
